Now Boarding

I came across a sketch in one of my notebooks from many years ago. It showed a bird sitting in an aircraft cabin—along with a bunch of humans— with the caption “Lazy Birds”. Although I have little memory of why I drew it, somehow the concept stuck with me.

I “upgraded” the concept to show a bunch of lazy birds at the airport, boarding the aircraft.

This piece was done entirely in the Procreate app on my iPad Pro using Lisa Bardot’s Texturrific ink set.
