Jolt Coffee

Part of a series of three whimsical signs I created for my kitchen wall. I went for a mid-century modern look, using soft pastels. The lettering borrows on the look of the time, but I did diverge where appropriate. In Photoshop, I created a faux print mis-registration. I wanted the look of authentic, printed pieces of the time. To finish them off, I applied RetroSupply’s Matchbook Photoshop action. While the hand drawn elements add character, the Matchbook action adds a convincing retro look to the whole piece.
