A Brighter Shade of Doom
For Bookstore Brewing label #3, we continue with the adventures of our space-faring crew from Escape from Narrow City. This is where we actually introduced the characters, including the female captain, as she spirits her crew away from peril.
This art has a heavy sci-fi horror influence, with ‘doomy’ colours and existential dread. The fire-breathing creature is a mish-mash of different things—a centipede (which I hate), a scorpion, and a manta-ray. There’s also an episodic feel, as the crew find themselves in another fine mess.
Art created in Procreate on the iPad Pro, and completed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
