When I was asked what I wanted for my 8th birthday, I said “A Polaroid ZIP camera!” I was pretty sure that response would be met with a resounding no. After all, the camera was an exorbitant $14. In the end, I did get my birthday wish, and began a lifelong interest with photography.
A smartphone may be more convenient, but I’ve always preferred looking through a real viewfinder to take photos.
The inspiration for this mainly came from old map covers and brochures.
